As it's a rather dull time for East Village hawk-watching (although I did see Christo and Dora being chased around E 4th Street tonight by two kestrels), I thought I'd catch up on all the kestrel photos I've taken this summer.
In June, I was able to spend a lot of time with one particular kestrel family on lower Orchard Street and they were fascinating to observe. For eight days, I embedded myself with them and was able to witness their story from beginning to end.
First, some introductions.
