After a busy day of hunting, eating, mating and nest-building, hawks Dora and Christo rested in a tree as the sun went down.
Dora on the left, Christo on the right.
Unable to resist, Christo made his move.
Afterwards, it was time for more stick gathering. There seems to be some kind of trigger within the hawks that compels them to cut sticks immediately after mating.
Christo flew the stick over to the nest (note his full crop - there's half a pigeon in there).
About five minutes later, he returned to Dora for another round of bonking.
Finally, the shadows crept up the branches and it was time to roost.
