Boys on my beat

When I think of the NYPD, my mind immediately flies to Hal Linden and Abe Vigoda in Barney Miller, but that's just me.  My interaction with the police is minimal, but I do like to capture them doing normal everyday things...

...like resting sore feet in Chelsea
Twins

On an afternoon horse ride on Lower Broadway
Summer in the city

Ordering sausages at one of the billions of summer street fairs
Festival of San Gennaro

Guarding suspicious cones on 8th Avenue
Pow-wow

Taking notes at a political lecture
Talk to the hand

Writing a 'thank-you note' for that long-awaited package (ha!)
Uh-oh...

Conducting a possible murder investigation on the beach at Coney Island
NYPD investigates

More sausages!
Coney Island

...and, of course...
"Sprinkles or no sprinkles?"

Hmmm, have i told you recently what an amazing, gorgeous, inspiring photographer you are??? your choice of colors, contrasts, variable and disparate subjects (cops! sky!)? theunexpectedcartoon???
Well, actually, it's my first post here - tho I've been following for several weeks now. So let this set the precedent for my humble accolade: amazing dahling - smart and amazing - thank you for your work - this fairly anonymous reader/viewer appreciates.

  2. Thank you very much, Kim!

There really is no organization going on here. I originally started this blog as a tribute to Mars Bar or, at least, one aspect of it...but am not yet ready to go down that hole. Until a path becomes clear, I plan to continue posting what ever amuses me most. I'm glad you enjoy it!
