I'm still catching up on posting hawk photos, but here are a few from the last couple of weeks.
Christo and Dora survey their domain from atop St Brigid's on Avenue B & 8th Street.
Dora takes off.
Hanging out together in Tompkins Square.
Christo grabs some lunch.
Christo with a squirrel...
Angry Dora! Late in the afternoon on Christmas day, a juvenile hawk flew into the park near Avenue A & 10th Street. Christo and Dora immediately went after it, screaming and chasing it through the trees along 10th Street.
Here the juvenile and one of the adults (I'm not sure which one) tussle in a tree.
On New Year's Day, there was another fight between the two adults and a juvenile. I'm not positive, but I'm guessing the young hawk is the same one. Pics of that incident are forthcoming.
Meanwhile, back in the park...
Christo prances around in a tree.
Showing off...
And it's back to St Brigid's...
