Sunday Brunch

Sunday brunch is all the rage in the East Village these days.  Everyone who is Anyone must be seen on the Scene, sporting their trendiest couture, sipping the finest Bloody Mary and nibbling at the most authenticallylocalorganicartisanalfarmtotable small plates.

Today's special is locally raised Rat, hand-fed in Tompkins Square Park on a free-wheeling diet of pizza, fried rice, onion rings, macaroons and hot dog buns.  Served whole and in its natural juices, and seasoned with a light dusting of road salt...

  1. Been a treat, so to speak, to see so much hawk activity of late. (The rats likely won't agree with me...)

  3. Yes! I don't know if I'm just getting more observant, but it seems the hawks have been extremely active this winter. There are at least 3 red-tails and a Cooper's hawk. The Cooper's doesn't show off as much as the others, so I have yet to capture it. I really recommend looking up the next time you're in TSP. Or, just look for other people who are looking up. :)
